FREAK in High School is a prompt based solo journalling tabletop role playing game about being a visibly inhuman child of a visibly inhuman superhero or villain.
Players use a standard deck of 52 playing cards, 1d10, 1d6, and 2d4 to draw and resolve prompts about being a visibly different teenager trying to navigate a mostly mundane High School existence.
This game was inspired by Sentinel by Meghan Cross, Firebreather by Phil Hester and Andy Kuhn, and the visibly different superheros and villains I was obsessed with growing up like Beast, Nightcrawler, Hellboy, The Thing, The Lizard, and more.

Super fun little journaling game, with higher quality prompts than you typically see in journaling games and a few fun mechanics to make it more than simply answering prompts.
I play through a bit of this and give my thoughts on it here (Mic gain is a big higher than I meant for it to be, kids playing with the setup lol. 55 or so minutes, but the last about 8min is where I sum up my thoughts):
You're so kind! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and your playthrough!
It was a lot of fun and I think I'll be coming back to it the next time I binge a Persona game, as the vibe meshes well. Thanks for making it!
When will a download be available please?
Thanks so much for asking - I have updated the page & it should be available to download now!
